1992 Ford F-350 Crew Cab Long Bed 7.3 IDI Diesel - no turbo, not the "powerstroke". The reason I'm selling is that I have a newborn and a new family so this truck isn't practical for me anymore - it's as simple as that. No other reason why, just looking to get something that's easier and more practical for my family. I know I'll regret selling this absolute unit but I've just gotta do what's the best for us. Just the facts: The truck originally came from California, so it was rust free from the beginning. I had the engine replaced, and the engine is a rebuilt unit from an ambulance with about 80,000 miles on it when it was rebuilt - I spared no expense - I did not use any junky aftermarket parts, all ford OEM and was done by the local ford dealer by an certified ford diesel mechanic. All new hoses, radiator, lines, tanks, in the engine bay. Recently (last winter) replaced the glow plugs and fuel injectors so they are good to go for a long time. Block heater works great. Motor runs beautifully, smooth and steady, no blowby/smoke - strong as it should be. The clutch and transmission (manual) was replaced/rebuilt at the same time with a C12 unit which is designed for the F-500 series which means it's extremely overbuilt for this truck- it's been beautiful, no issues, nothing. It'll last a very long time because the truck doesn't even come close to what its rated for. The 4x4 TC was also rebuilt as well. Along w/ the transmission, the hubs w/ warn units, axles, driveshaft (recently rebuilt and all joints as well, a few months ago by fleetpride), etc was either rebuilt or replaced, it's practically an all new drive train. Brake Booster, power steering, drag links, sway bars, all the bushings, etc has been replaced - shocks are Heavy Duty Motorcraft OEM. Steering is nice and tight, no slop, very easy to turn the wheel, smooth as all out pretty impressive for a truck this size and weight. Tracks straight and true. The entire motor-drivetrain rebuilt cost me about $11k. I have all of the work records from the dealer as well. Everything works - AC (new system installed, all bosch - ice cold), CC, fuel tank switches, and so forth. Every time anything came up, I got it fixed or replaced immediately, it's my baby so anything it needed, it got. Oil changed every 3k miles, period, w/ OEM motorcraft filter, and Mobil 1 oil. Fuel filter was changed every 15k miles, scheduled, again, OEM filter. Tires are BFG AT KO2's. They are 305/70R16 Load range E 10 ply w/ the proper valve stems (metal). Rims are aftermarket powder alloy 8 hole american racing bajas, very nice. You can see a picture of the tire, how much tread they have left, these have about 20k miles on them, so I would say you'd get another 20k at least. These tires last a good while on the truck, works excellent in winter with 4x4 on, never had any issues whatsoever. I've had the opportunity to pull out quite a few folks since I've had the truck. The entire body has been sprayed with Line-x by a certified shop in Buffalo, NY. Which cost me about 2500 - it really works very well - prevents any scratches, dings, rust. I always get compliments on it, questions "what's that?". Undercoated as well from the same place that did the line-x for rust prevention, so it stays rust-free as it's been its entire life in California. Recently had the undercoating re-applied by the same line-x company, and they touched up some areas of the line-x. The bumper has been replaced, both front and rear from a company in Texas - longhorn bumpers. This cost me about $1200 total to have installed, etc. 36" LED light bar has been installed, on a relay switch and it is hooked up to the high beams as required by law. The rear bumper has 2 3" LED light modules attached for reverse lights, activated when the truck is in reverse. There's only one spot on the bumper, on the guard which has damage which only occurred to the line-x when I hit a dumpster, no damage to the bumper itself whatsoever, the thing is TOUGH. I've hit a few deer - I'm really glad that I had the bumper because that really saved this classic - otherwise it wouldn't have been pretty. Winter/Summer grill covers included. The hitch is a Class IV hitch, custom made so the receiver is flush with the bumper so there's no need for an extended hitch whatsoever. The hitch is directly attached to the frame AND the bumper, very secure. I've towed thousands of pounds with this truck with zero issues. Along with this the harness for the trailer hook-up was recently rewired with all new wires from the engine to the hitch, with all the plugs you'd need built in. BackRack installed, with toolbox as well - the toolbox should be considered a freebie, it's pretty tired but holds well aganist the weather, still. The backrack is something special - it has signal lights installed on it, which are inside a weather tight 1/8" steel box, nothing will damage it. It's all connected and works as it should for stop, running, signaling. The back rack also has a cargo light which is a 6" LED light bar - it is connected to the door switch so when the door is opened it turns on, plenty of light to see back there. Interior has been re-upolstered, seats have new foam and new cloth. The dash has a cover, no cracks. The only thing is the plastics on the inside is in good condition, if I was keeping the truck I would start replacing these pieces but it's a work truck ultimately for me, so it's not a priority for me - If I'm honest, it doesn't really need it. I added a gauge cluster on the driver's side pillar, it just has a clock, internal/external temperature reading, and the volts for the battery and alternator. Power windows up in the front (no rear power windows!) has been rebuilt, only catch is the passenger side's stop has broken so the window will not automatically stop when it gets to the top, a minor fix. The power locks actuators have all been replaced, the latches have been rebuilt/lubed/adjusted. Behind the rear seat, there's a 2700 watt inverter which is wired directly to the battery/alternator in the engine bay - properly done with 2AWG w/ heavy duty shut off switch directly wired, it's always worked great for me. I've used it on job sites and emergency situations and it's never failed to power what I needed it to power. Please note, the mileage will increase a bit because I am still using the truck. I have invested an significant amount of money in this truck, an conservative estimate would be $20,000 not including original purchase price- you would be hard pressed to find something that's as good as this truck is. One last thing, I would be confident in driving this truck to California and back, so you can pick it up and drive it home no problem or arrange for a transportation company.
